Mangaluru: Karnataka Lokayukta Justice P Vishwanath Shetty, on Saturday, November 23, paid a visit to various government hostels in the city to check the facilities being provided to the students.
He interacted with the students and asked about the food they are being served at the hostel. He checked the washrooms, kitchen, library and other infrastructure facilities. Later, he instructed the concerned officials to take utmost care pertaining to cleanliness in the hostels.
He also listened to the grievances of the hostel students and asked the officials to meet their demands.
Backward Classes Welfare Department district officer Sachin Kumar, Lokayukta Inspector Bharathi G and hostel warden Krishnaraj and other officers accompanied him during the visit.
