Mangaluru: Train services were disrupted between Mangaluru and Mumbai via Goa as landslide occurred near Kulshekar railway line, on Friday, August 23.
The incessant rains lashing over the district resulted in the landslide and due to the incident heaps of loose mud fell on the tracks. As the result, one train which connects Goa and Mangaluru was forced to stop at Thokur and another train-Nethravathi Express was stopped at Jokatte. Mathsyagandha Express train, which came from Mumbai halted at Suratkal. After the incident, railway department suspended all trains on this route.
The work on clearing the line is under progress.
