Mangalore : Police who are investigating into the case of Anjana (24), Assistant Manager of Syndicate Bank, Katipalla Branch, are still clueless regarding the whereabouts of the prime suspect. It may be recalled here that Anjana was found dead in the rented house of one Mahesh, her friends at Bejai Kapikad in Mangalore on the night of April 18.
Though the two were said to be having an affair and that Mahesh might have murdered Anjana for monetary gains as was evident from the missing of jewellery from the person of Anjana, so far the police have not been able to zero in on Mahesh.
Though there is information that he worked for an eatery in Bharath Mall, even his two other room mates who were apprehended could not give more details except that he hailed from West Bengal.
A team of local police had even been to West Bengal but of no avail. Even the family members of Anjana who had joined work at the bank just eight months ago after doing her MBA, do not know much about Mahesh.
Police investigating the case are hopeful that they can track down Mahesh at the earliest.
