Kundapur : Works on the Kundapur-Talapady four-laning project is expected to begin very soon. The works had earlier been suspended citing technical reasons. Meanwhile, reports say even the works on the fly-over at Shastri Circle are to be taken up very soon.
It may be recalled here that the NH authorities had agreed to construct a fly-over at the prominent junction of the city following several appeals from the public and after the intervention of local MP Jayaprakash Hegde and Rajya Sabha Member Oscar Fernandes. Official sources said the works are to begin in a couple of days and would be completed at the earliest date possible.
In the meantime, there is also a fear if the impending monsoon would play spoilsport and once again result in the suspension of the works.
