Mangaluru: Renowned Konkani activist, writer and social worker Paul Moras (68) passed away, on Sunday August 30.
Moras has rendered invaluable service to Konkani community and literature over the last three decades.
From writing research papers to his books being selected for higher studies in Goa and Mangaluru, he has bagged several honours, including the Konkani Sahitya Academy awards.
His book ‘Konkani Chalvoll’ brought him the prestigious Dr TMA Pai Foundation Best Book Award. District Rajyotsava award and ‘Mahan Konkani Karbari’ are a few other awards that came his way.
‘Jagaran’ and ‘Mogre-Karan’ and ‘Khel-Rajanv’ are some of his other literary works.
Funeral will be held at Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail on Monday, August 31, at 3:30 pm. Mass will be held at 4 pm.
