Mangaluru: MLA UT Khader suggested Election Commission to conduct a hackathon of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to avoid the many doubts regarding its misuse.
Addressing a press conference at the Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee office here on Saturday, Khader said that the misuse of EVMs was raising doubts on its credibility day-by-day. To avoid such doubts, the Election Commission should conduct Hackathon and create awareness on technical possibilities of EVMs, he demanded.
“Congress candidates are all set to file an objection petition regarding the misuse of the EVMs. They will file the petition with the help of lawyers,” he said.
Regarding the ministership, Khader said that it was left to the Congress high-command to decide on giving him a ministry. “The seniors of the Congress party will decide who will become ministers in the coalition government. Regarding the JDS, their party leaders will take the final call,” he added.
