Kerala police nab two in murder of retired school teacher

Mangaluru: The police have nabbed two accused in connection with a murder of a retired teacher in Chimney Puliyannoor, Kerala on December 13, 2017.

The arrested accused have been identified as Cherykulla Dinesh (27) and Vaishak (28). Another accused in the case, Arun (26) is said to have fled the country.

It may be recalled that three people who entered the residence of Janaki (65), a retired teacher, demanded her to to hand over the cupboard key to them. But, when she refused to handover the key, she was attacked with lethal weapons. Meanwhile, when her husband Krishnan rushed to stop the assault, even he was attacked and he lost consciousness.

The accused fled with gold ornaments and Rs 20 thousand in cash after the crime.

This incident came to light after Krishnan gained consciousness and informed the police. The police investigated all possible leads in relation to the case and were finally successful in nabbing the culprits.
