Mangalore:The security officials of the Mangalore international airport caught a passenger while he was trying to smuggle ganja to Dubai by Air India Express flight on Saturday September 21 night.
The accused, whose identity is yet to be known, is said to be from Kerala. He was caught while he was about to board the flight which was scheduled to take off at 8 PM to Dubai. 2 KG of Ganja has been seized and the market value of the same is yet to be known.
The passenger was able to pass the ganja packets from the scanner but later the security personnel found the packets during their check.
The packets have been handed over to the Bajpe police and investigations are underway.
