Kashi Matt and GSB temples’ Union pitch in to help flood victims

Mangaluru: The Kashi Matt Samsthana and GSB Temples’ Union, Shri Venkatraman Temple, Car Street donated the much-needed relief materials for the victims of the floods in Kodagu and Kerala.

Following the direction from Shri Samyamindra Thirtha Swamiji, the Kashi Matt temple authorities from various parts in the state, including Bengaluru Kashi Matt and Kota Kashi Matt, delivered the relief materials.

The donation includes nearly 5000 kg of rice, 1000 kg of cereals, 400 kg of tea powder, 700 kg of sugar, 2000 kg materials for daily use and 25,500 new dresses. The collected materials will be sent to the Cochin Tirumala Venkatramana Temple. Cochin Tirumala Venkatramana Temple will distribute relief materials to flood victims, stated GSB Temples’ Union President M Jaganath Kamath and Bengaluru Kashi Matt Secretary K Narayana Shenoy stated in a media release.
