Mangaluru: Love transcends caste, creed, religion and even continents, as an incident in Kateel testifies.
Six years ago, Sushant Nayak, a video editor and resident of Anantashayana in Karkala, met Tamrah, an American, in Delhi when he was on a professional assignment. The two hit it off and became good friends. Later, their friendship blossomed into a relationship and after a while, they decided to get married.
The two recently tied the knot at Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple in a simple Hindu wedding ceremony. While Tamrah’s parents accepted her relationship with Sushant and her desire to marry him, they were unable to attend the wedding ceremony.
Tamrah, who is an employee of a renowned private company in America, decided that she wanted to marry an Indian as she was completely in love with India’s traditions and culture.
