Moodubidire: Scouts and Guides Kannada Bhavana and Mundrudeguthu K Amarnatha Shetty Auditorium constructed at the cost of Rs12 crore adjacent to Swaraj Maidan here were thrown open for public use on Saturday.
Speaking after inaugurating the Bhavana and Auditorium, Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala said that we have to extol Kannada language in such a way that every Kannadiga should be proud of its richness. “Moodubidire is the right place to have Kannada Bhavana as it’s a land of great poet Rathnakaravarni whose contribution to Kannada is unparallel,” he said.
Releasing ‘Amara Smarane’ a memoir on late Amarnatha K Shetty, P G R Sindhia, Chief Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides (Karnataka), reminisced the times spent with the former.
He also said that the students of Scouts and Guides had distributed over 35 lakh masks to the needy for free of cost during Covid pandemic. Over 15,000 teachers associated with Scouts and Guides voluntarily worked in the examination centre, he said.
