Mangaluru: The District Kambala Committee which comprises three districts Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Kasargod, has released the calendar of `Kambala` events for the year 2018-19 at Hotel Woodlands on Friday, November 16.
As per the calendar, a total of 18 Kambalas will be organised in the next five months. The first Kambala will be organised at Kakyapadavu in Bantwal Taluk on November 24 and the last Kambala will be organised at Talapady, Panjala in Mangaluru Taluk on March 23, 2019.
After releasing the calender, Kambala Committee President P R Shetty said, “Kambala will be organised ensuring that no guidelines are violated during any event. The committee has already taken all precautionary measures in order to avoid the mistakes and also instructed the owners of buffaloes to follow the guidelines. The committee would convene another meeting at the Kambala stadium in Miyar in Karkala taluk on November 21, in order to educate the members who are participating in the event”, he informed.
Kambala Committee General Secretary M Rajiv Shetty Yedthur, committee members Seetharam Shetty and Praveen were present.
