July starts with three COVID deaths, DK toll now 17

Mangaluru: A 79-year-old man from Bhatkal died of COVID-19 on July 1, the 17th in the Dakshina Kannada district.

The 79-year-old man was suffering from some health issues and was treated in the ICU before he passed away during the day.  A 72-year-old man from Bengre under treatment in Wenlock COVID Hospital and a 31-year-old man in a private hospital also passed away today.

84 new cases were also recorded today, taking the total no of cases to 823.
