Mangaluru: Hours after DCIB sleuths arrested Hindu Jagarana Vedhike leader Jagadish Karanth at Bengaluru International Airport, an unidentified miscreant wearing helmet pelted stone at a KSRTC bus in Bolwar in Puttur.
It may recalled that Jagadish Karanth had made a provocative speech abusing the Sampya Police Sub-Inspector Khadar in a Hindu convention organised at Puttur’s Kille Maidan on September 15.
The Dakshina Kannada Police have beefed up security in Puttur. It is also learnt that Karanth will be produced before the court in Puttur.
It may be recalled that Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy during his recent visit to Mangaluru had ordered to register a case against Karanth for hate speech.
