Mangaluru: International Kannadigas Federation has written a letter to Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa, and appealed for the immediate appointment of the Vice president to the Karnataka Non-residential Indian Association.
The appeal letter was handover by Rajesh Sequeira, co-ordinator of the International Kannadiga federation to BJP spokesperson Captain Ganesh Karnik, on Thursday, April 15.
International Kannadigas Federation is active in 34 countries and 124 plus NRI Kannadigas associations around the globe have joined under this single platform. Hidayat Addoor, convenor of Kannadigas Federation initiated the process.
The federation requested for the appointment of the vice-chairman and suggested considering an NRI for this post who is aware of the problems of Non-residential Kannadigas.
The federation urged for the immediate implementation of the NRK card plan and to provide grants and permissions to build the Kannada Bhavan in the countries with the highest population of Kannadigas.
Captain Ganesh Karnik assured that he will take the issue to the CM and get the demands fulfilled. Canute was presenton this occassion.
