Indian rallyists to storm the European Rally Championship

Mangaluru: The two well-known Indian motorists Amittrajit Ghosh of Kolkata and Ashnwin Naik from Mangaluru will participate in the European Rally Championship, organised by the Federation of Internationale de l’ automobile in Greece from June 1 to 3.

Addressing a press meet at a private hotel here in the city, Prasad Hegde Chairman of Pana group of institutions said, “In the European Rally Championship, the Indian Team rally motorists Amittrajit Gosh and Ashwin Naik will be driving a Ford Fiesta R2 car which will be emblazoned with the logo and name of the Pana Group of educational institutions.”

“Pana educational institution has devised a special educational programme which runs on a format of an Academy, we have christened this as ‘happiness academy’ our research has show that a happy student is a bright student. Pana education institution promotes various types of sports particularly the adventures sports particularly the adventure of sports of which motor rallying is a part of. Adventure sports enhances the confidence levels of youth” he added.

” Our aim is to bring up the students as a well rounded individual, responsible for self and others. We are soon launching programmes of driving mannerisms and safety for future automobile users.” he told.

Ashwin Naik has won almost all rallies on Indian soil. He also won Himalayan Rally and Desert storm five times each, Sub Himalayan Rally four times and taken a podium finish in the British Rally Championship along with Amittrajit Gosh in 2016.
