Mangaluru: An Indian Gaur Bull was spotted in various parts of Mangaluru city, during wee hours of Tuesday, May 5.
The Bull, which was first spotted near Kodialbail(West), moved to Hathill and then to Bejai area.
Immediately, the locals intimated the police and the forest department officials, who plunged into action and captured the bovine.
The tranquilised bull was loaded in to a truck and then taken to Pilikula for treatment and rehablitation, said sources.
Though Bisons and Gaurs have been spotted in Bajpe and Adyapady areas due to the forest area bordering the region, it is very rare that a Gaur has been spotted in the city.
