Mangaluru: Two foreign nationals, Henrietta Lucy Guest and Maria Wirth, have stated that India is the only country that has the potential to become “Vishwa Guru” of the world.
While Henrietta is from England, Maria Warth is from Germany. The duo were participants of a session organised as part of ‘Lit Fest’ at the TMA Pai International Convention Centre on Friday, November 29.
While speaking on the subject “India Calling'” Maria said that India is the only country meant for Hindus, which is why the Hindu religion will prosper only in India and the people should be very proud to be a Hindu. “If India were to become a ‘Vishwa Guru’, it would benefit the entire world and not just India,” she said.
Henrietta Lucy, a yoga practitioner believes that yoga should not be limited to asanas and pranayamas as it has a bunch of benefits. She said that children need to practice ‘Mantras’ at an early age as it can help them become intellect and aware about their religion.
Henrietta has been in India for the past twenty years and has embraced the Hindu religion. She has also travelled from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Although Maria Wirth came to India just for a visit, she has been here for over 40 years. She was, later, drawn towards the Hindu religion. She is also the author of the book titled ‘Thank You India’.
