Mangaluru: An image of MLAs U T Khader and D Vedavyas Kamath jointly inspecting the city on their two-wheelers during the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown, has gone viral on social media.

Mangaluru MLA U T Khader belongs to the Congress party, while Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath belongs to the BJP party, both hardcore rivals. Both the parties have different ideologies and always find themselves at odds with one another.

It was a breath of fresh air to see both leaders of opposing parties put their differences aside and join forces to fight the spread of COVID-19 and check on the situation in the city.

Together, the duo sent a strong message to society that there is no politics when it comes to fighting against a deadly disease.

Workers of the Congress and BJP have always gotten into fights with each other. After this image of the two party leaders went viral, many have suggested that others learn from them and unite to fight against the challenge that the country faces right now.
