Mangaluru: The Mangaluru South Traffic police seized two tippers allegedly transporting sand illegally from Kannur to Kerala in the wee hours of Monday.
Sources from traffic police informed that they received a tip-off on the same. Based on the information, a team of police headed by Sub Inspector Kabbalraj intercepted two tippers near Pumpwell Circle and seized the sand. The worth of the seizure is estimated at Rs 1.10 Lakh. The seized tippers belonged to Bukhari and Kareem, police sources said.
A case has been registered at the Mangaluru South Traffic Police Station in this regard.
