Mangaluru: ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese with the support of its deaneries and units spread across Dakshina Kannada and Kasaragod Districts organised Mission K2K – Kudla to Kerala and Kodagu food relief project to support the flood victims.
Various food and cloth items like rice, groceries, dairy items, eatables, medicines, garments, sanitary items, soaps, tooth brush and paste, beverages, blankets, towels, toiletries and all day to day necessary items were to collected from individual donors at respected deaneries along with the units of Mangalore diocese and then were dropped at the central collection centre at ICYM Central Council Diocesean Office at Olivet House Jeppu.
The items were then segregated and were sent to the affected areas via 7 trucks which will leave the city this evening and will reach Kerala and Kodagu by Tuesday morning. Under the leadership of Jaison Periera Shirthady, ICYM Diocesean President and the youth of Mangalore Diocese came together to reach the needy at this hour of disaster.
Rev. Fr. Ronald Prakash DSouza, Director and Rev. Fr. Ashwin Lohith Cardoza, Assistant Director ICYM Mangalore Diocese co-ordinated the project along with the office bearers of ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese who are as follows Noyal Dsouza Vice President, Preema Pinto Lady Vice President, Fevisha Monteiro General Secretary, Aneesh Lobo Joint Secretary, Jovel Fernandes Treasurer Meer Manish Sequeira Auditor, Ancita Carol Dsouza Regional Representative, Adrian Dsouza Nominated Member, Jaison Crasta Nominated member, Asha Cutinho Amcho Yuvak Representative, Frenton Irol Dsouza Public Relations Officer were present at the venue.
