Udupi: The post-mortem report of Hussainabba has revealed that his death was caused due to a severe head injury. The report comes as a major support to the allegations made by the family members of the deceased that he had died due to an assault by the cattle vigilante and police atrocities.
Hussainabba, a cattle trader was found dead under mysterious circumstances on May 30 at Shenarabettu. Family members had alleged that he had been brutally assaulted by Bajrang Dal activists as well as the police.
The post-mortem report was submitted before the court hearing the bail plea of the accused in the case.
So far, 10 persons have been arrested in connection to the case, including Hiryadka police sub-inspector.
Public prosecutor Shantha Bhai has submitted the medical report to the Udupi district and sessions court. Rishikesh Sonawane, Assistant Superintendent of Police is the Investigation Officer for the case.
