Mangaluru: A day after two youth who were reported to have gone missing after venturing for hunting, their dead bodies were found under mysterious circumstances at Karinje Arantha Bakyaru on Thursday, March 22.
The deceased have been identified as Greshion Rodrigues(34), resident of Pranthya village and Praveen Tauro(32), resident of Karinje Kakkebettu.
According to reports the youth had, on Tuesday night gone on a hunting expedition to the Karinje forest. As the duo did not return home, family members filed a missing complaint with the Moodbidri police on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the police along with forest department officers and locals launched a massive search operation to trace the youth. It was in the evening that they found the dead bodies of the youth in paddy field at Karinje forest foothills.
It is alleged that the death may have resulted due to an electric shock from the high tension wires nearby, but the police are yet to ascertain the same.
