Mangaluru: “BJP will not succeed in its efforts to topple the state government”, said former chief minister and Janata Dal (S)-Congress Coalition Government Coordination Committee President Siddaramaiah.
Speaking to the reporters at Mangaluru International Airport (MLA) on Monday, December 3, Siddaramaiah said, “It is not possible to topple the government having only 104 MLAs. They have attempted to do so several times and their efforts did not yield any positive result so far. If they are trying to topple government with a huge amount of Rs 25 Crore, from where they are getting money? Such huge amount must be earned illegally “, he suspected.
Meanwhile, he rubbished the speculation that some Congress leaders including Sathish Jarakiholi are joining the BJP. “Such rumours are far from the truth. There is no any misunderstanding between us and none will join BJP”, he clarified.
Siddaramaiah had come to the city in order to attend a programme ‘Connect- 2018’ organised by the Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) at Nehru Maidan.
