Mangaluru: Home minister Ramalinga Reddy, on January 11, visited residences of Late Deepak Rao and Basheer and met their family members.
After arriving from Udupi, the home minister visited the residence of Deepak at Katipalla along with local MLA Moideen Bava and assured of taking stringent action against the culprits.
He also promised Deepak’s brother Sathish Rao and mother Premalatha that the government was with the bereaved family. “As assured by CM Siddaramaiah, a job will be provided to Sathish Rao and strict action taken against the perpetrators of these crimes”, he said.
Later, Reddy visited the residence of Basheer in Akasaha Bhavan and consoled his family members. The family members urged him that the perpetrators of the crime be punished strictly.
They also sought to curb such incidents of innocents being killed in the city. In reply, home minister asserted that state government would not allow anyone to take law into their hands and invdulge in such anti-socital activities.
