According to IMD director CS Patil, the coastal districts of the state, Uttara Kannada and Dakshina Kannada district are likely to experience isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall in some places and extremely heavy rainfall (more than 20 cm). A red warning has been issued in these places for September 10 and 11, while an orange warning has been issued in these areas for September 12 and a yellow warning for September 13 and 14.
