Gory mishap near Bhatkal claims life of cook of Pejawar swamiji ; 8 injured

Bhatkal :  A gory road mishap reported from Manki near Bhatkal on May 14, Tuesday evening claimed the life of the cook of Pejawar Swamiji, while eight others  were injured. The mishap occurred between a Tempo Traveller carrying the assistants of the seer and a lorry.

If the swamijis assistants who were returning after a pooja programme in Dandeli were travelling by the Tempo Traveller, the seer was returning by a car. It is learnt, the speeding vehicle carrying the seers entourage in its bid to overtake another vehicle hit the lorry killing the seer’s cook on the spot.

The deceased is Gopalkrishna Adiga (58) from Kodangala in Alevoor. He was the cook of the Pejawar seer since 35 years and is survived by his wife.

The Pejawar seer came to know about the mishap when his car reached Brahmavar.
