Girish Putran murder case : Yet another accused apprehended

Mangalore : Bajpe police have arrested one Prashanth alias Pachu (27), the last accused in the case of murder of Girish Putran of Hoigebazar, The arrested person has been produced before the court. With this the police have made a total of three arrests in this case.

 

It is learnt, Prashanth, an employee of MESCOM  in Kalianpur, was a friend of Natasha.  Police said he was driving the car which took Girish Putran to Permude where he was killed.

Putran who was engaged  in fish trading at old port and was also a local JD(S) leader  was in love was Natasha who was the lover of Rajesh. Sources also said he used to harass Natasha and fed up Rajesh and his friends had taken Girish  to a place near Bajpe on the pretext of land dealings on December 22, 2012. From there they had taken him to the Suratkal beach and got him fully drunk. On their return journey they had kept the car stereo on at high volume and  then Rithesh who was on the backseat along with Putran and Natasha, stabbed Putran in his neck and then dumped the body near the OMP unit  at Permude.
 
They had then proceeded toward Belthangady after relieving Putran of all his jewels. The mobile phone of Putran was dumped near Bantwal and the blood soaked clothes set afire at Belthangady. They had then spent the night there at some relative’s house.

Police have seized two chains, a bracelet and a ring from the accused. The arrests took place  under the direction of Panambur ACP Ravikumar under the leadership of Bajpe SI Dinaker Shetty.
