Kasargod : A team of Kasargod police led by Circle Inspector Sunil Kumar has arrested two persons who were transporting  ganja in a Tata Sumo vehicle and seized 52 kg of ganja from them. The operation followed a tip  off.

On inspection of the vehicle, the police  found that a special compartment was made at the roof of the vehicle to conceal the ganja during transportation. The arrested are CH Saleem (32) of Neeleshwar and KA Nawaz (32) from Kottayam. Police said the two have revealed during interrogation that they were transporting the ganja from Kottayam to Uppala.

With drugs peddling and trafficking rampant in the taluk, police have seized nearly two quintals of ganja in various raids in the past two month period.
