Mangaluru: The executive committee Konkani Kutam Bahrain unanimously has selected Fr Prashant Madtha S.J. for the Konkani Kutam Literary Award-2018 for his immense contribution to Konkani language and literature.
The award will be presented in a glittering ceremony to be held on Saturday, July 28 at 6.30pm at St. Sebastian Platinum Jubilee Hall, Bendore, Mangalore.
The famous Kannada writer and poet Jayant Kaikini will be the Chief Guest, well-known Konkani poet and Sahitya Academy Award winner Melvyn Rodrigues will be the Guest of Honour, a press release from the organisation said.

At present, Fr Madtha is the Director and Finance Officer at St Joseph’s College of Commerce (autonomous), Bengaluru and the Director of Pondicherry University Distance MBA Education, Bengaluru Region.
