Foundation stone laid for ‘High Crest’ of Rohan Corp

Mangaluru: The foundation laying ceremony for Rohan Corporation’s ‘High Crest’, a residential apartment, near Kadri Kambala was held on Saturday, February 9.

Religious leaders Fr. Ravi Santhosh Kamath and Fr. Vinod Lobo blessed the occasion. The programme was inaugurated by Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers D V Sadananda Gowda.

Dakshina Kannada district in-charge Minister and Minister for Urban Development and Housing U T Khader, speaking on the occasion said that builder Rohan Monteiro has a good name in the real-estate business.
“A good builder is one who constructs the building without violating the guidelines and without harming anybody. Rohan has such a quality, which made him sustain in the real-estate business for the past 25 years”, he said.

Khader also said that the government would introduce a single window system for building and layout plan approvals in urban areas across the state soon. The new system will reduce the burden on those who want to develop commercial and residential projects”, he said and wished success for the future endeavours of Rohan Monteiro.

Meanwhile, Khader released the brochure of the building. A short documentary of the upcoming ‘High Crest’ apartment was also released by U T Khader and was displayed to the gathering.

Rohan Corporation Managing Director Rohan Monteiro during his welcome speech said that though there was some problem after the introduction of Good Service Tax (GST), Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) Bill and demonetisation, adjustments have been made to suit the changing circumstances.

“As RERA Bill is pro-customer and it demands completion of the buildings at the stipulated period, I have been trying to follow the guidelines with utmost care. I will continue to serve people by constructing layouts and apartments in future too”, he said.

About High Crest

The fourteen storey High Crest Residential apartment, which will be built near Kadri Kambala will have 41 units. Every floor will have only three flats. Two bedrooms (1225-12340 sq ft) and three bedrooms (1695 sq ft) flats, according to the convenience of the customer will be available. Huge parking area, round the clock electricity, solar facility, children’s play area, gym, two different lifts, electronic access card system, reticulated gas facility, intercom facility, fire extinguisher facility among others the salient features of this building.

CM’s Parliamentary Secretary Ivan D’Souza, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Mayor Bhaskar K, Corporators Prakash Salian, Shashidhar Hegde, Chartered Accountant Ramulu Naidu, Confederation of Real Estate Developer’s Associations of India (CREDAI) state vice president Pushparaj Jain, BJP’s district spokesperson Harikrishna Bantwal among others were present.

Sahil Zahir compared the programme and proposed a vote of thanks.
