Mangaluru: A total of five COVID-19 patients were discharged from the Wenlock Hospital after making a full recovery on Saturday, May 23.
Among the five persons who were discharged, four are from the Bantwal taluk and one person is from Boloor. With this, a total of 26 persons from the Dakshina Kannada district have been discharged from the hospital after recovering from the disease.
The four people from Batwal, who were discharged today, were the last active cases from the taluk. This means that the Bantwal taluk is now free from the novel coronavirus.
As many as 31 are still being treated for COVID-19 at the Wenlock Hospital, three of whom are in the ICU and their condition said to be stable. Five people from the district have succumbed.
