Mangaluru: Fire broke out in the first floor of Hotel Moti Mahal in Balmatta on Monday, March 25. However, no casualties have been reported.
Sources from the fire station informed that fire broke out in the bedroom of a room number 112 on the first floor of the hotel building at around 4.55 PM. The reason for the fire incident is said to be an electric short-circuit. Immediately, the hotel management informed the fire station at Pandeshwar.
After a 30 minutes operation, the firefighters extinguished the flames. Furniture, air conditioner and other electric items were gutted in the fire. The loss is estimated at around Rs 1 Lakh.
