Mangalore: The semi final and final of Ya Ya India Mayaya, all India level firs ever Konkani dance competitions will be held at Kalaangann, Shaktinagar, here on May 18 and May 19, said the organizing Committee convener Eric Ozario.
Addressing the media persons here on Thursday May 16, Ozario said that the competitions are held in association with Jagotik Konkani Sangoton, Mandd Sobhann, Konkani Prachar Sanchalan and Naach Sobhann, with a view to raise funds for organizing international competitions, added Ozario.
The first stage of competitions was held in 7 centers: Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore, Honnavar, Kasargod, Udupi and Mangalore.
The semi final and final will be held on May 18 and May 19 at 6.30pm, while the award ceremony will be held on May 19 at 8.30pm.
The key donor Konkani Samaj Ratna titleholder Ronal Colaco and MLA J R Lobo will be the chief guest of the occasion.
Konkani Prachar Sanchalan president Roy Castelino, Mandd Sobhann – Stany Alvares, Naach Sobhann chief Avil D’Cruz, Jagotik Konkani Sangoton vice president Luvi Pinto were also present.
