Mangaluru: With the Mangaluru City Corporation cracking its whip on shopkeepers running their business, catering to needs of essential commodities of the people, Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has said that the public need not worry about availability of items as the administration will make arrangements to supply the essential commodities.
Addressing a news conference on Wednesday, March 26, the MP said that he is discussing with officials on how the essential commodities can be supplied to the people at their doorsteps.
The MP clarified that the public was allowed to purchase necessary commodities till 12 pm on Wednesday and this cannot be extended any further.
“The public should follow complete lockdown rules, ” he informed.
Meanwhile, he said that even ambulances will not be allowed to ply into Dakshina Kannada from Kerala.
The nation is under complete lockdown from Wednesday onwards, for a period of 21-days to curb COVID-19.
