Mangalore: An English-Kannada-Konkani tri-lingual dictionary by Partha Darshini Seva Trust was released in Kalangann at Shaktinagar on Wednesday February 25.
The English-Kannada dictionary was released by Saara Aboobakker whereas the English-Konkani dictionary was released by writer Na D’Souza. The English-Kannada-Konkani dictionary was released by Dr KV Narayana, noted linguist.
The chief guest, Dr KV Narayana who addressed the gathering, said that learning of one or more languages contributes to an individual’s intellectual development.
The function was presided over by Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore. Prof Stephen Quadras, Fr Basil Vas and Prof Priyadarshini S Tadgodkar,Head of Department of Konkani of Goa University, were present during the programme.
