Mangaluru: A file which contains an audio clip of a man seeking veteran Congress leader Janardhan Poojary's killing in an encounter, has gone viral.
Close on the heels of the Poojary's statement on December 2, supporting the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, an audio clipping is making rounds on Monday, in which a person introducing himself as a Congress worker says that Poojary must be encountered for his opinion.
The person in the audio says he had already warned that Poojary has been identified with RSS leaders and that his statement on Ram Mandir proved this. Until and unless Poojary is expelled from the Congress party, it will not win in Dakshina Kannada district, he has opined. Apart from expulsion from the party, the man also has urged for the deportation of the veteran leader from the country stating that his comments are "anti-constitutional."
Meanwhile, Janardhan Poojary's followers are angered with the statements.
However, the exact identity of the voice in the audio clip is yet to be ascertained.
