Mangalore: Officials of the election commission are keeping an eye on all the local channels and their programmes.
In order to get support from the people; political parties might ask to vote for their respective party. Owing to this reason, the election commission has been constantly checking the telecast of programmes on several news channels.
Even the programmes on the local radio channels have been closely observed by the commission.
If in the scrutiny, it is found that telecast of any programme is favouring any particular party then the commission would take strict action against them, said DC and election commissioner A B Ibrahim to the media.
