Mangaluru: Dr. Kaup Mohammed, Chief Secretary of The Dubai-based Bearys Cultural Forum (BCF) told reporters that this year the BCF would distribute scholarships to 500 economically backward pre-university college to post graduation students, 20 wheelchairs for physically challenged and 50 sewing machines for women in Dakshina Kannada district. The scholarship distribution programme will be held at around 1 PM in Loyala Hall, St. Aloysius PU College, Kodiyalbail here on August 13.
Sheikuna PM, Ibrahim Musliyar Bekal, Khazi, President of Karnataka Sunni Jam’iyathul Ulama, will bless the programme. Dr. B K Yousuf, President of BCF will preside and the programme will be inaugurated by Tanveer Sait, State minister for Primary and Secondary Education and Minority Welfare & Waqf. Even the political representatives and dignitaries will take part in the programme, he said.
On this occasion, the forum will honour Bearys Cultural Foundation Life Time Achievement Award to a politician from Dakshina Kannada. Along with it, the forum will also confer BCF Global Corporate Social Responsibility Award, BCF Global Man of the Year, BCF International Academic Excellency Award, BCF Bearys Personality of the Year Award and BCF National Award for Humanity & Social Welfare.
Several intellectuals and dignitaries from the district and even from abroad will take part in the programme.
