Mangaluru: A couple plying on a bike, were hit by a speeding car in Mangaladevi on Friday, January 10 night, leaving them with serious injuries.
As per reports, the man and his wife, residents of Thokottu, were travelling to the city for shopping when the incident occurred. They were immediately admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
Eyewitnesses, according to reports, said that the car that rammed into the bike was overspeeding. The driver left his car at the scene and is now absconding.
Reports say that locals from the area have seen this particular car overspeeding in the before and had even warned the driver several times.
A case has been registered in this regard.
