Mangaluru: Tulu is one of the ancient languages and Tulu Sahitya academy honestly worked in order to protect and develop the Tulu language and culture said, Dr. Mohan Alva.
He was speaking at the launch of the online Tulu Symposium series of leading Tulu organizations in the world organised by Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy.
Speaking on this occasion Dayanand Kattalsar, President of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy said, ” we are working to get recognition for Tulu language and development of the Tulu culture.”
” We need the support of people to undertake many activities in this regard, he added.
Researcher Dr. Indira Heggade spoke on the topic ‘Tulunadina Kattukattale, where she highlighted the Daivaradhane (Worship of deity) tradition.
The event was attended by 177 dignitaries of various Tulu organisations around the world.
