Mangaluru: Sandalwood actor Rakshith Shetty has called upon the public to not support pirated movies.
Rakshith was in the city to celebrate the success of ‘Avane Srimannarayana’ at Suchithra theare on Monday, January 6.
Later, while speaking to mediapersons, he informed that some miscreants have been pirating his film “Srimannarayana”. “The legal cell of our film team is working in a piracy blockade. People should watch the film in the theatres only. If not, our three years’ effort will collapse due to piracy,” he said.
Speaking about the film, Rakshith said that it has received good response in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. “It is a matter of pride for us to make a Kannada movie that is watched outside the state’s borders,” Rakshith added.
As many were asking why some scenes from the film were cut, Rakshith explained that cuts were made as the movie was too long.
Director Sachin Ravi, actress Shanvi Srivastava, actors Balaji Manohar, Pramod Shetty and Supraindra Krishnamurthy were present.
