Mangaluru: A total of four persons, who had contracted a COVID-19 infection, were discharged from the Wenlock Hospital on Monday, April 6.
While the Bhatkal-based 22-year-old, was the first to test positive for COVID-19 in the Dakshina Kannada district, was discharged in the morning, three others, all residents of the Kasargod district, were released later. They had returned from Dubai and were admitted to the Wenlock Hospital after they displayed symptoms of COVID-19.
Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, in a press release, informed that all the four persons, who were discharged from the Wenlock Hospital, have been asked to undergo 28 days of home quarantine as a precautionary measure. A seal has also been put on the hands of all those who were discharged today.
A total of 12 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the Dakshina Kannada district so far, four of whom were discharged today after recovering from the disease completely. The remaining eight persons are still receiving treatment at the Wenlock Hospital.
