Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district registered 243 fresh cases and nine COVID-19 deaths, on Tuesday, August 11.
Of the nine dead, eight are from the Mangaluru taluk and one is from another district. Comorbidities were found in all nine cases.
The total COVID positive cases stand at 7,596, while 2,625 are active cases.
The district’s total COVID fatality stands at 237.
A whopping 519 patients were discharged on Tuesday from Wenlock and private hospitals.
Among the 243 new cases, 189 are from Mangaluru, 30 are from Bantwal, six are from Puttur, four are from Sullia, 10 are from Belthangady, and four are from other districts, the district health bulletin informed.
