Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists Association (DKWJA) condemned PWD Minister H D Revanna for blaming the media over coalition mess during his visit to Kateel Durgaparameshwari temple on Sunday, July 14.

Minister Revanna arrived with his personal assistant to offer pooja on Sunday, July 14. When he found a videographer shooting his movements in the temple, Revanna walked up to the cameraman and asked him why he was doing so. When the videographer said he was just doing his duty, Revanna lost his cool. Abusing him, Revanna said that the state politics took a bad turn only due to the media fraternity. Later, he asked the videographer to delete the footage. This incident has already gone viral on social media and journalists of the district have been expressing their displeasure over the incident.

Followed this incident, DKWJA President Srinivas Nayak Indaje in a press release, condemned the incident and sought proper protection to the journalists. State government should take all precautionary measures to ensure no such incident happens in future, he urged.
