DIG SB Venkatesh, District Commander No 3 New Mangalore (Karnataka) calls on Governor

Mangaluru: Deputy Inspector General SB Venkatesh, District Commander No. 3 Headquarters, Coast Guard (Karanataka) called on H.E. Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala on 15 Feb 2020. The meeting held at Raj Bhavan was a courtesy call.

Various facets and developments pertaining to the Indian Coast Guard, especially in Karnataka were briefed to the Governor. With the ever-increasing challenges of security and safety at sea, discussions were focussed on strengthening the maritime domain of the coastal state of Karnataka.

 

The Governor was also briefed on the progress of future developments. During the interaction, H.E. Governor was assured that the Indian Coast Guard in Karnataka would continue providing rescue and relief to the fishermen whenever they were in distress at sea. The efforts of the state administration in strengthening the Coastal Security mechanism were also conveyed to the Governor.
