Diesel theft: Panambur police nabs 2

Mangaluru: The Panambur police arrested three persons in connection with the theft of diesel from a tanker belonging to Rhenus Logistics Company and seized a tanker and 900 litres of diesel from their possession on Friday, February 15

The arrested have been identified as Premachandra alias Prem, a resident of Pratapgadh district in Uttar Pradesh, Nan Babu of Tulasipur in Uttar Pradesh, Balavanth Kumar of Chandauli district in Uttar Pradesh and Raj Kumar, a resident of Satna district in Uttar Pradesh.

Sources in Panambur police station said the accused were indulged in stealing diesel from the parked tankers and selling them for lesser price. Based on a complaint by logistics company manager, the Panambur police succeeded in nabbing both the accused.

The accused would be produced before the court, police sources said.
