Mangaluru: The Mangaluru South police arrested a 37-year-old person in connection with uploading derogatory remarks on social media against a jewellery shop in the city, on Friday, January 18.
The arrested has been identified as Bhujesh A, son of Ammu A Poojary, a resident of Kasargod district in Kerala. According to the police sources, the accused Bhujesh was allegedly indulged in uploading derogatory remarks on social media against a jewellery shop ‘Malabar Gold.’
Following a complaint by marketing manager of ‘Malabar Gold’, a team of police headed by Mangaluru South police station inspector Mohammed Shareef and sub-inspectors Rajendra B and Manjula succeeded in arresting the accused Bhujesh.
The accused would be produced before the court, police sources said.
