Mangaluru: In a late night incident, a gang reportedly resorted to vandalising a bar at Talapady and brutally assaulted two of its employees for denying to serve them liquor.
The act, that took place at Athithi bar on April 11 and was captured on the CCTVs placed at the bar is said to be an act of revenge since the employees at the bar had refused to serve liquor to one of the gang members and his friends – Sommu and Nichchu on the previous night.
On April 10, Sommu and Nichchu were denied liquor at the bar since they arrived beyond 11 pm. Furious at this, the duo broke the window panes at the bar. On receiving information, the Ullal police immediately rushed to the spot and managed to arrest one of the youths, Sommu from the spot. They also seized a bike belonging to Nichchu, who somehow managed to flee from the spot,
Angered by this, Nichchu arrived at the bar with a gang of around 12 persons on April 11 and vandalised the bar, assaulted two employees- Praveen and Sujith before fleeing with the cash and liquor bottles from the bar.
Sandesh, Ganesh, Rahul, Ramanada, Kiran, Shiva are among those identified from the group by the police
Ullal Police have registered the case.
