Mangaluru: Hanumantharaya has been appointed as deputy director, Enforcement Directorate (ED), Bengaluru. He previously held the position of Deputy commissioner of police (Law and Order) in Mangaluru since June 8, 2017.

As per the central government’s request, Hanumantharaya has been relieved by the state government immediately as he was to be posted for central deputation for three years.

In July, he had been promoted to the IPS grade as superintendent of police.

Recently, Uma Prashanth had taken over as the new deputy commissioner of police (crime and traffic) a post that was lying vacant after Hanumantharaya was made DCP (law and order) in Mangaluru.
